About the Barrel

The Barrel is a storage block that works much like a chest, giving you 27 slots for items. Right-click it to open the storage menu. A barrel is especially useful in tight builds because you can place a full block directly above it and still open it, unlike a chest.

How to get the Barrel

You can craft a Barrel with 6 sticks and 2 wooden slabs of any wood type. Place sticks in the four corners and the two side slots of the crafting grid, put slabs in the top and bottom middle slots, and leave the centre empty.

Barrels also generate naturally in village fisher cottages. You can break and pick them up with any tool, though an axe is fastest.
