- Beacon requires a crafting table to craft.
About Beacon
A Beacon is a block that shoots a light beam into the sky and grants status effects to nearby players. It only works when placed on a pyramid made from iron, gold, emerald, diamond, or netherite blocks. Open its menu and feed it an ingot, emerald, or diamond to pick a power.
Key facts:
- Offers Speed, Haste, Resistance, Jump Boost, and Strength as primary powers.
- Bigger pyramids mean longer range and better secondary powers.
- Emits light level 15.
With a full four-layer pyramid, you also unlock a secondary power like Regeneration or a stronger version of a primary power.
How to get Beacon
You can only get a Beacon by crafting it. You need 5 glass blocks, 3 obsidian, and 1 nether star. The nether star is the hard part because it only drops from the Wither. Beacons do not appear in chests or trades, so crafting is the only way.
