About the Campfire
The Campfire is a block that works as a light source, a cooking fire, and a smoke producer. When lit, it gives off light level 15 and sends a column of smoke upward. You can place up to four raw food items on it by right-clicking, and they cook over time, popping off when done.
The smoke also helps with beekeeping: placing a campfire under a beehive or bee nest calms the bees so you can harvest honey safely. Be careful, because standing on a lit campfire damages you. You can extinguish it with water or a shovel, and relight it with flint and steel, a fire charge, or a flaming arrow.
How to get the Campfire
You can craft a Campfire with three sticks, one coal or charcoal, and three logs of any wood type. This is the main way to get one.
Campfires also generate naturally in taiga and snowy taiga villages and in small campfire structures in those biomes. However, if you break a campfire without a Silk Touch tool, you only get sticks, not the campfire block itself. So to collect a found campfire, you will need Silk Touch.
