Daylight Detector crafting recipe
Produces 1× Daylight Detector.

- This is a shaped recipe, meaning the items must be placed in this specific arrangement on the grid.
- Daylight Detector requires a crafting table to craft.
About Daylight Detector
The Daylight Detector is a redstone block that reads the sky and turns it into a redstone signal. In its normal mode, it gives off more power during the day and none at night. That makes it useful for automatic lights, time-based farms, and anything you want to run only while the sun is up.
Right-click the detector to flip it into inverted mode. In that mode the signal is strongest at night and drops to zero in full daylight.
Key facts:
- Outputs a signal from 0 to 15 based on current light from the sky.
- Right-click to switch between day and night sensing.
- Works well with redstone lamps, pistons, and note blocks.
How to get Daylight Detector
You get a Daylight Detector by crafting it. The recipe uses three glass blocks on top, three nether quartz in the middle, and three wooden slabs along the bottom. Any wood type works for the slabs. Daylight Detectors are not found in chests or sold by villagers, so crafting is the only route.
