About Firework Rocket

The Firework Rocket is a craftable projectile you can launch by hand, fire from a dispenser or crossbow, or use while gliding with elytra for a quick burst of speed. On its own, using only paper and gunpowder, it flies as a soaring trail with no explosion. Add a firework star to give it a coloured burst, plus optional effects like twinkle or a trail.

The amount of gunpowder used controls flight duration. More gunpowder means a longer burn, which also means a longer elytra boost. If you add a firework star and fire it from a crossbow, the rocket can damage mobs on impact.

How to get Firework Rocket

Firework Rockets are crafting-only. Combine paper with one to three gunpowder to set the flight time, and optionally include a firework star for an explosion effect. Paper comes from sugar cane, while gunpowder drops from creepers and ghasts or appears in loot chests.
