- Honey Block can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About the Honey Block
The Honey Block is a sticky, semi-transparent block made from honey. It is best known for catching falls: landing on one reduces fall damage by about 80%, so it works well at the bottom of mineshafts and drop chutes.
Key facts:
- Slows players and mobs that walk on it.
- Can be pushed by pistons and used in moving redstone contraptions.
- Does not stick to slime blocks, which makes it handy for flying machines.
Its translucent amber look also makes it a nice decorative block for warm, glowing-style builds.
How to get the Honey Block
You can only get Honey Blocks by crafting them. Place four honey bottles in a 2x2 square in a crafting grid to make one block. Honey bottles come from using a glass bottle on a bee nest or hive when it is full of honey, so you need a steady supply of bees first.
