About Leather
Leather is a basic crafting material that comes from animals. You will use it most often for books, item frames, and leather armour. Armour made from leather is the weakest tier, but it can be dyed a wide range of colours, which makes it popular for cosmetic outfits and roleplaying.
Four rabbit hide can be combined into one leather, so rabbit hunting can replace cow hunting if needed.
How to get Leather
Leather is mainly a mob drop. Cows, mooshrooms, horses, donkeys, mules, and llamas all drop it when killed. Hoglins in the Nether can drop leather too, and piglins sometimes give it as a barter reward. If you have plenty of rabbit hide, you can craft four of it into one leather.
