Respawn Anchor crafting recipe
Produces 1× Respawn Anchor.

- This is a shaped recipe, meaning the items must be placed in this specific arrangement on the grid.
- Respawn Anchor requires a crafting table to craft.
About the Respawn Anchor
The Respawn Anchor is a block that lets you set a respawn point in the Nether, where ordinary beds do not work. You charge it with glowstone, and each charge lets you respawn there once after you die.
Key facts:
- Stores up to four charges; each death uses one charge.
- Gives off more light as you add charges.
- Only works in the Nether. Using it in the Overworld or End causes an explosion.
To use it, place the anchor in the Nether and interact with it while holding glowstone. A charged anchor acts as your respawn point, which makes long Nether trips and fortress runs far less risky.
How to get the Respawn Anchor
You can only get a Respawn Anchor by crafting it. The recipe uses six crying obsidian and three glowstone blocks. Crying obsidian is found in ruined portal chests or bartered from piglins, and glowstone blocks are mined in the Nether. It does not appear in loot chests or villager trades.
