About Tinted Glass
Tinted Glass looks transparent, but it completely blocks light. You can see through it, yet it keeps one side dark while the other stays bright. That makes it useful for mob farms, dark rooms, or any build where you want a window into a space without letting light in.
Key facts:
- Blocks all light, even though you can see through it.
- Drops itself when broken, so you do not need Silk Touch.
- Has no right-click menu or redstone behaviour.
It is mostly a building block, so it works well for controlling light in builds where ordinary glass would let light through.
How to get Tinted Glass
Tinted Glass is only available by crafting. You need one glass block and four amethyst shards arranged around it in a crafting grid. This produces two tinted glass blocks.
It is not found in chests or sold by villagers. Amethyst shards come from amethyst clusters inside geodes, so you will need to find one of those before you can make it.
