About Andesite Slab
Andesite Slab is a decorative half-block made from regular andesite. It keeps the grey, speckled look of the full block, but at half the height. Like other slabs, you can place it on the bottom or top half of a block space, and two slabs in the same space will form a full block.
Key facts:
- Mostly used for floors, paths, roofs, and smooth building details.
- Can be waterlogged, like most stone slabs.
- Has a separate polished version with a smoother texture.
How to get Andesite Slab
You can get Andesite Slabs by crafting or by using a stonecutter. Crafting uses 3 andesite and gives you 6 slabs. A stonecutter is more efficient when you only need a few, since it turns 1 andesite into 2 slabs. Andesite itself is common underground, and can also be crafted from diorite and cobblestone, so the slabs are easy to make once you have some.
