About Birch Chest Boat

The Birch Chest Boat is a birch boat with a built-in storage chest. It works like a normal boat for crossing water, but the chest replaces the second seat, so only you can ride it.

The chest holds 27 slots, the same as a single chest. While riding, you can open your inventory to access that storage, which makes it useful for moving supplies across oceans and rivers. You can also break the boat with a hit to pick it up again as an item.

How to get Birch Chest Boat

You only get a Birch Chest Boat by crafting. Combine one Birch Boat with one Chest in a crafting grid. The recipe is shapeless, so the two items can go anywhere.

If you need to make both parts first, a Birch Boat takes five birch planks, and a Chest takes eight planks of any wood. Chest boats do not appear in loot chests or villager trades.
