About Brown Terracotta
Brown Terracotta is a dyed version of regular terracotta. It is a solid building block with a warm, earthy brown colour, often used for natural paths, wooden-style floors, and desert or mesa builds. Like other terracotta, it needs a pickaxe to mine and is fairly tough, making it a good decorative block for survival projects.
It is one of the sixteen stained terracotta colours. The colour runs through the whole block, so it still looks clean if you break part of a build away. It has no special redstone or lighting behaviour.
How to get Brown Terracotta
You can craft Brown Terracotta by placing one brown dye in the centre of a crafting table and surrounding it with eight blocks of terracotta. This gives you eight Brown Terracotta from each batch. Terracotta comes from smelting clay, and brown dye comes from cocoa beans, so both ingredients are easy to gather once you have a clay source and a jungle.
Brown Terracotta also appears naturally in the coloured terracotta layers of badlands biomes, so you can mine it there while exploring a mesa.
