About Diorite Slab
Diorite Slab is a decorative building block made from diorite. It occupies half a block space, which makes it useful for detailed floors, ledges, roofs, and paths. You can place it in the top or bottom half of a block, and two identical slabs can be stacked to fill one full block space.
It shares the pale grey, speckled look of normal diorite. It has no special behaviour beyond being a solid half-block, so it is mainly a building material.
How to get Diorite Slab
You can craft Diorite Slabs from diorite. In a crafting table, three diorite blocks produce six slabs. A stonecutter is more efficient for odd amounts, turning one diorite block into two slabs. Diorite itself can be mined underground with a pickaxe, or crafted from cobblestone and nether quartz. You will not find ready-made Diorite Slabs in chests, so crafting or stonecutting is the only way to get them.
