About Exposed Copper Grate

The Exposed Copper Grate is a copper building block with a perforated, grid-like pattern. It is the second oxidation stage for copper grates, sitting between clean copper and weathered copper, with a duller brown-orange tone.

These grates are useful for industrial builds, balconies, walkways, and any place where a metal surface with visible openings looks right. You can wax an exposed grate with honeycomb to stop it from oxidising further, or scrape it with an axe to bring it back toward its cleaner stage. The block can also be waterlogged, so it holds up visually even when placed underwater.
