About Lantern
The lantern is a bright light source, giving off a light level of 15. Unlike a torch, it looks like a proper fixture and can be placed standing on top of a block or hanging from the underside of one.

How to get Lantern

Lanterns also generate already placed in some snowy village buildings. If you find one, you can break it and take it home, but crafting is the most reliable way to get them.
