Torch crafting recipe
Produces 4× Torch.

- This is a shaped recipe, meaning the items must be placed in this specific arrangement on the grid.
- Torch can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About Torch
The Torch is a simple light source you can place almost anywhere. It gives off a light level of 14, which is enough to stop most hostile mobs from spawning nearby. That makes it the basic nighttime and cave-survival tool.
Torches are non-solid, so you can walk through them, and they attach to the top or side of full blocks. They burn indefinitely once placed, with no fuel or timer. Each torch stacks up to 64.
How to get Torch
You can craft Torches easily: one stick plus one coal or charcoal produces four torches, so a single piece of coal goes a long way early on. Torches also appear naturally in structures such as mineshafts, villages, and strongholds. When you break a placed torch, you can pick it up and use it again.
