About Soul Torch
The Soul Torch is a blue-flame torch that gives off less light than a regular torch. It emits a light level of 10, so it is handy for moody builds or for areas where you want softer lighting.
It has two useful quirks. Piglins avoid soul fire, so placing Soul Torches can help keep them away from your builds. Soul Torches also do not melt ice or snow, making them a good choice in cold biomes and icy builds.
How to get Soul Torch
You craft Soul Torches using a stick, a piece of coal or charcoal, and soul soil. The recipe gives you four torches. Soul soil is found in the Nether, mostly in soul sand valleys, so you will need to make a Nether trip first.
You can also find Soul Torches already placed in ancient cities, where you can break them and carry them home.
