About the Redstone Torch

The Redstone Torch is a small redstone power source that also gives off a low light level of 7. It sends a full strength redstone signal of 15 to nearby redstone wire and components, which makes it a simple way to power a circuit.

You can place it on the top or side of a solid block. If that block receives power, the torch switches off. This lets it act as a redstone inverter too.

Be careful with rapid pulses. If you toggle it too quickly, it can burn out and stop working until it receives a block update.
