About Redstone Block
The Redstone Block is a full-size block that acts as a constant redstone power source. It outputs a maximum strength signal of 15 to adjacent redstone wire and components, making it a tidy replacement for a lever or torch when you need a permanent signal.
It also works as compact storage: nine redstone dust pack into one block, and you can craft it back into dust later. Unlike most power sources, pistons can push and pull Redstone Blocks, which makes them useful in moving redstone builds.
How to get Redstone Block
You craft a Redstone Block from nine redstone dust in a crafting table. The dust comes from mining redstone ore deep underground. The block itself does not generate naturally, so crafting is the only way to get it. If you need the dust again, placing the block in a crafting grid returns the nine dust.
