About Purpur Pillar
Purpur Pillar is a decorative building block with a vertical striped texture. It belongs to the purpur family and appears often in End Cities, so it fits naturally into End-themed builds or repairs.
You can place it facing different directions depending on which side of a block you click, similar to other pillar blocks. It has no special interaction, redstone use, or light level. You need any pickaxe to collect it. Breaking it without a pickaxe destroys the block without any drop.
How to get Purpur Pillar
The main source is End Cities, where the block generates in large amounts as part of the structures. You can also craft it from two Purpur Slabs placed vertically in a crafting grid. This makes it easy to produce in bulk once you have access to Chorus Fruit, since Purpur Slabs come from Purpur Blocks.
