About Quartz Pillar
Quartz Pillar is a decorative building block made from quartz. Its striped, column-like texture makes it useful for pillars, supports, and other detailed builds. Unlike a plain Block of Quartz, a Quartz Pillar has a clear directional grain.
You can place it so the lines run along any horizontal or vertical axis depending on which face of a block you click. It has no storage, light, or redstone behaviour, so it is purely visual.
How to get Quartz Pillar
You get Quartz Pillar by crafting it. Place two Blocks of Quartz in a vertical column in the crafting grid. This gives you two pillars. Blocks of Quartz are crafted from four Nether Quartz, so you will need to mine Nether Quartz ore in the Nether first.
