- Quartz Slab requires a crafting table to craft.
About Quartz Slab
Quartz Slab is a clean white, half-height block made from quartz. It is mainly a decorative block, useful for floors, counters, paths, and trim where a full block would feel too bulky.
Key facts:
- Can be placed on the top or bottom half of a block space.
- Non-flammable and has a smooth, pale finish.
- Works well with quartz stairs and blocks for larger builds.
It has no special interaction or redstone use, so treat it as a building block you place and leave.
How to get Quartz Slab
You get Quartz Slabs by crafting them from Blocks of Quartz. Three blocks of quartz laid in a horizontal row gives you six slabs. If you have a stonecutter, you can cut one block of quartz into two slabs instead, which is more efficient.
Blocks of Quartz are themselves crafted from four Nether Quartz, so you will need to mine Nether quartz ore in the Nether first. Slabs are not a natural drop and are not sold by villagers.
