About Tuff Stairs
Tuff Stairs are a decorative stair block made from tuff, the grey volcanic stone found underground. They match other tuff blocks, so they work well for roofs, paths, and builds that use tuff, stone, or deepslate.
Like other stairs, they can be placed upright or upside down, and they form corners and inner or outer steps depending on the blocks around them. They can also be waterlogged.
How to get Tuff Stairs
You get Tuff Stairs by crafting them from six tuff blocks in a stair pattern, which gives four stairs. A stonecutter is more efficient: one tuff block produces one stair block.
Tuff is found in veins underground and mined with any pickaxe, so the main work is gathering enough tuff before shaping it into stairs.
