About Polished Tuff Stairs

Polished Tuff Stairs are a decorative building block with the same smooth grey look as polished tuff. They behave like other stairs: you can place them upright, upside down, or in corners, which makes them useful for roofs, steps, and trim work.

Like most stair blocks, they do not emit light or interact with redstone. They are purely cosmetic, but they give builds a clean stone finish that regular tuff stairs do not have.

How to get Polished Tuff Stairs

You can only obtain Polished Tuff Stairs by crafting or using a stonecutter. To craft them, arrange six blocks of polished tuff in the stair pattern on a crafting table. This gives four stairs. A stonecutter can also convert one polished tuff block into one stair, which is more efficient if you only need a few.

Polished tuff itself comes from regular tuff, which you can mine underground. These stairs are not found in loot chests or sold by villagers.
