About Brown Bed

The Brown Bed is a dyed variant of the standard bed, so it works exactly like any other bed. Right-click it at night or during a thunderstorm to sleep, skipping to morning and setting your respawn point as long as the bed is in the Overworld.

The colour is purely cosmetic. It does not change how fast you sleep or how your respawn works.

Like all beds, it takes up two blocks and needs enough clear space around it. Trying to sleep in the Nether or the End causes the bed to explode, which some players use as a risky weapon.

How to get Brown Bed

You can craft a Brown Bed by placing three brown wool above three wood planks in a crafting grid. Brown wool is made by dyeing white wool with brown dye, or sheared from a brown sheep.

You can also dye an existing bed brown by combining it with brown dye in a crafting grid.
