About Gray Carpet
Gray Carpet is a thin decorative block that adds a neutral gray surface to floors and builds. It is only one sixteenth of a block tall, so it sits low and is easy to walk over without jumping. You can use it for paths, soft-looking trim, or to cover blocks without changing their shape much.
It also has a couple of hidden uses: you can place it on top of fences to create a low ledge that players can hop onto while mobs usually cannot, and it can be used as a weak furnace fuel.
How to get Gray Carpet
The main way to get Gray Carpet is to craft it. Place two Gray Wool side by side in a crafting grid, and you get three carpets. Gray Wool comes from gray sheep, or from dyeing White Wool with Gray Dye. You can also spot gray carpet as decoration in some structures, but crafting is the more reliable route.
