Produces 1× Iron Trapdoor.

- This is a shaped recipe, meaning the items must be placed in this specific arrangement on the grid.
- Iron Trapdoor can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About the Iron Trapdoor
The Iron Trapdoor is a redstone-controlled hatch. It stays closed until it receives a redstone signal, then opens. Unlike wooden trapdoors, you cannot open it by hand. That makes it a good choice for entrances you want to keep shut unless a lever, button, or pressure plate is used.
When closed, it acts as a solid surface you can walk on and place blocks against. When open, it leaves a clear gap, so it works as a ceiling hatch, floor door, or wall shutter. Place it on the top or bottom of a block face.
How to get the Iron Trapdoor
You get Iron Trapdoors by crafting them. Put four iron ingots in a 2x2 square to make one. You will need a pickaxe to mine iron ore, then smelt the ore in a furnace or blast furnace. They are not sold by villagers or found in loot chests, so crafting is the reliable route.
