- This is a shaped recipe, meaning the items must be placed in this specific arrangement on the grid.
- Copper Trapdoor can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About Copper Trapdoor
The Copper Trapdoor is a flat, hinged hatch that you can open and close by hand. Like other trapdoors, it also responds to redstone: a powered signal opens it, and it closes when the signal cuts off.
Key facts:
- Right-click to open or close it.
- Can be placed on the top, bottom, or side of a block.
- Oxidises over time from shiny orange to green, changing only its look.
- Waxing with honeycomb locks the current stage, and using an axe scrapes oxidation away.
How to get Copper Trapdoor
You can craft Copper Trapdoors from six copper ingots arranged in two rows of three. They also generate naturally in trial chambers, so exploring one can give you a few without spending copper. If you want a particular oxidation stage, crafting fresh ones and waxing early is the reliable route.
