About Lime Dye

Lime Dye is one of Minecraft's sixteen dyes, used to colour wool, beds, glass, terracotta, concrete powder, candles, and plenty of other dyeable items. It gives a bright yellow-green colour that is lighter than green dye.

Key facts:

  • Stacks to 64.
  • Can be used directly on sheep to recolour their wool.
  • Works with banners, leather armour, and firework stars like other dyes.

How to get Lime Dye

You can get Lime Dye in a few ways. The simplest is crafting one green dye together with one white dye, which gives two lime dye. You can also smelt a sea pickle in a furnace to produce lime dye. Wandering traders sometimes sell lime dye for emeralds, so keep an eye out if you have emeralds to spare. It is not a common mob drop or chest find, so crafting and sea pickles are usually the most reliable routes.
