About Blue Dye
Blue Dye is a basic colouring item used to change the colour of many blocks and mobs. You can use it on sheep, wool, terracotta, glass, concrete powder, beds, banners, shulker boxes, and tamed wolf collars. It works like any other dye when applied to craftable or placed blocks.
It is also a crafting ingredient for other colours. Combining it with white dye makes light blue dye, with green dye makes cyan dye, and with red dye makes purple dye.
How to get Blue Dye
You can craft Blue Dye from a single piece of lapis lazuli or a single cornflower. Cornflowers are blue flowers found in plains and flower forests, while lapis lazuli comes from mining lapis ore. Wandering traders sometimes sell blue dye as well, so you have a few ways to get it.
