About Magenta Candle

The Magenta Candle is a small dyeable light source. It stays unlit until you light it with flint and steel, a fire charge, or a flaming arrow. Right-click a lit candle to put it out.

You can place up to four candles on the same block. Each lit candle increases the light level: one candle gives level 3, and four candles give level 12. The candle itself is magenta, while the flame stays normal firelight.

Candles can be waterlogged, but a candle cannot be lit while underwater.

How to get Magenta Candle

You get a Magenta Candle by crafting a regular candle with one magenta dye. First craft a candle from one string and one honeycomb, then add the dye. Wandering traders can sell regular candles, but they do not sell dyed ones, so dyeing a candle is the only ordinary way to get this colour.
