About Waxed Cut Copper
Waxed Cut Copper is a decorative building block with the same carved, grid-like texture as regular cut copper. The main difference is that it will never oxidise. Normal cut copper slowly changes colour over time, but waxing seals it at its original orange-brown stage, so it keeps that look permanently.
It is mainly used for roofs, floors, and accents where you want the copper style without later scraping off oxidation. It behaves like a solid block and does not give off light.
How to get Waxed Cut Copper
You can get Waxed Cut Copper by crafting a piece of Cut Copper together with one Honeycomb. You can also hold Honeycomb and use it on a placed Cut Copper block to wax it in place, which is handy if you have already built with cut copper and want to lock its current colour. It cannot be found in chests or bought from villagers.
