About Blaze Powder

Blaze Powder is a hot, versatile material from the Nether. Its main job is brewing: you put it in a brewing stand to power the stand, and it is also the ingredient that turns an Awkward Potion into a Potion of Strength.

Beyond brewing, you will use Blaze Powder in several important recipes. It combines with Ender Pearls to make Eyes of Ender, with Slimeballs to make Magma Cream, and with coal or charcoal to make Fire Charges.

How to get Blaze Powder

Blaze Powder does not drop from Blazes directly. Blazes drop Blaze Rods, and you craft each rod into two Blaze Powder. That means you need to head to a Nether fortress, defeat Blazes, and collect their rods.

You cannot find Blaze Powder in chests or buy it from villagers. Crafting is the only way to obtain it.
