About Gray Concrete Powder

Gray Concrete Powder is a building block that behaves like sand or gravel. If there is no block underneath it, it falls until it lands on something solid. That makes it useful for dropping into place from above, but you cannot leave it floating.

Its real purpose is as the unfinished form of Gray Concrete. When the powder touches water, it hardens into Gray Concrete, a solid block that no longer falls. You can drop it into a pool, place it underwater, or run water over it to set it.

How to get Gray Concrete Powder

Gray Concrete Powder is only obtainable by crafting. One batch needs four sand, four gravel, and one gray dye, and gives you eight powder blocks. This makes it cheap to produce in large quantities once you have a source of gray dye. It does not appear naturally in chests or from villager trades, so crafting is the only way to get it.
