About Granite

Granite is a pinkish-grey decorative stone block with a rough, speckled texture. It is mostly used as a building material, and it fits in well with other stone types.

You can keep it as plain granite, or craft it into polished granite for a smoother look. Both forms can be cut into slabs, stairs, and walls using a crafting table or stonecutter. Granite is also a solid, blast-resistant block if you want something tougher than wood or wool for a build.

How to get Granite

You can get Granite by mining it. It generates in blobs underground in most Overworld biomes and drops itself when you break it with any pickaxe. If you would rather make it, you can craft two Granite from one Diorite and one Nether Quartz. It is not found in chests or sold by villagers.
