About Polished Andesite
Polished Andesite is the smooth, clean-faced version of regular andesite. Builders use it for floors, walls, and modern interiors because it has an even grey tone with less speckle than raw andesite. It pairs well with polished granite and polished diorite when you want a matching set of neutral stone blocks.
It is purely decorative. You cannot use it to craft tools or armour, and it does not respond to redstone.
How to get Polished Andesite
You get Polished Andesite by processing ordinary andesite. Place four andesite blocks in a 2x2 crafting grid to make four polished blocks. A stonecutter is also useful for odd amounts, turning one andesite into one polished block. Andesite is common underground, so this is easy to do in bulk. A few polished andesite blocks also generate in igloo basements, but crafting is the reliable route.
