About Purple Bed
A Purple Bed is a placeable bed that you can sleep in to skip the night and set your spawn point. It works only in the Overworld. Trying to sleep in a bed in the Nether or the End causes it to explode, so keep it out of those dimensions.
Beds are one of the few items that let you set a personal respawn point without commands. The purple colour is purely cosmetic, but it is useful for matching builds, rooms, or a server’s colour scheme.
How to get Purple Bed
You can craft a Purple Bed from three Purple Wool and three Wooden Planks in a crafting table. You can also take any bed and dye it purple by combining it with purple dye in a crafting grid. Purple wool is made by applying purple dye to wool, or by shearing a sheep that has been dyed purple.
