- Purple Candle can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About Purple Candle
The Purple Candle is a dyed light source and decoration. Like every candle, it starts unlit, so you need to light it with flint and steel or a fire charge before it gives off any glow. You can place up to four candles on a single block, and each lit candle adds more light, from a light level of 3 for one candle up to 12 for four.
It is mostly used to add a warm, controlled look to builds. You can also place candles on a cake for a birthday-style decoration.
How to get Purple Candle
You get a Purple Candle by crafting it. Combine one regular candle with one purple dye in a crafting grid. The recipe is shapeless, so the ingredients can go anywhere in the grid. If you do not have a candle yet, make one first using string and honeycomb. Coloured candles like this one do not generate naturally, so crafting is the only way to get them.
