About the Red Bed

The Red Bed is a dyed version of the normal bed. You can right-click it at night or during a thunderstorm to sleep, skip to morning, and set your respawn point to it.

The red colour is purely decorative, so it behaves exactly like any other bed. That makes it a good choice when you want a bed that fits a red-themed build or room.

Like all beds, it explodes if you try to sleep in the Nether or the End. Keep it in the Overworld if you plan to use it.

How to get the Red Bed

You can craft a Red Bed using three red wool and three wooden planks of any type. Put the wool across the top row and the planks along the bottom row of a crafting table.

You can also dye an existing bed red by combining it with red dye in a crafting grid. Some savanna village houses may naturally contain red beds.
