About Shears
Shears are a tool for collecting things other tools just break. Use them on a sheep to get one to three wool without killing the animal, and the sheep will regrow its wool later. They also let you collect leaves, tall grass, ferns, vines, and similar plant blocks as items, carve pumpkins, and harvest honeycomb from full bee nests or hives.
They lose durability as you use them. You can repair a pair with iron ingots or another pair of shears on an anvil.
How to get Shears
The usual way to get shears is by crafting them. Place two iron ingots diagonally in a crafting grid, and you get one pair. The recipe fits in the 2x2 inventory grid, so you do not need a crafting table. You can also buy them from some shepherd villagers for emeralds.
