About Stone Axe
A stone axe is an early-game tool that chops wood much faster than punching blocks by hand. You can also right-click a log with it to strip the bark, giving you stripped logs for building and crafting.
It doubles as a decent weapon. Axes hit hard but swing slowly, so they work best when you can land one strong blow instead of trading rapid hits. A stone axe has 131 durability, which gives you a fair amount of chopping before it breaks.
How to get Stone Axe
You can craft a stone axe from three cobblestone and two sticks. Place the cobblestone in the top-left, top-middle, and middle-left slots of a crafting grid, then put sticks in the middle and bottom-middle slots. Toolsmith villagers also sometimes sell stone axes for an emerald.
