About the Bookshelf

The Bookshelf is a decorative block that also plays a real role in enchanting. When you place bookshelves around an enchanting table, they raise the enchantment levels you can access. A full setup of 15 bookshelves lets you roll level 30 enchantments, which is the maximum.

The block is not a storage container. You cannot open it or store books inside it. It exists mostly for decoration and for boosting your enchanting table.

How to get the Bookshelf
