Raw Iron crafting recipe
Produces 9× Raw Iron.

- Raw Iron can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About Raw Iron
Raw Iron is the unrefined metal you get when you mine iron ore with a pickaxe. Instead of the ore block, the ore drops this raw chunk, which you must smelt before it becomes useful.
Key facts:
- One raw iron smelts into one iron ingot.
- Fortune on your pickaxe can give more raw iron per ore block.
- Nine raw iron can be packed into a block of raw iron for compact storage.
How to get Raw Iron
You get Raw Iron by mining iron ore or deepslate iron ore with a stone pickaxe or better, as long as it does not have Silk Touch. Each ore block drops at least one raw iron, and Fortune increases the amount. If you use Silk Touch, you receive the ore block itself instead, which you can smelt later. Raw iron is not made on a crafting table.
