- Raw Gold can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About Raw Gold
Raw Gold is the unrefined metal you get when mining gold ore. It is not used directly in tools or redstone. Instead, it is the step between mining and useful gold.
Key facts:
- Smelt it in a furnace or blast furnace to get one Gold Ingot.
- Nine Raw Gold craft into a Block of Raw Gold for compact storage.
- A Fortune pickaxe can increase the amount you get from a single ore block.
How to get Raw Gold
The main way to get Raw Gold is to mine Gold Ore or Deepslate Gold Ore without Silk Touch. Fortune on your pickaxe improves the yield. Gold ore is easiest to find in caves and in Badlands biomes, where it generates more often. If you use Silk Touch, you get the ore block instead of Raw Gold, so save that method for when you want the block itself.
