About Waxed Weathered Copper
Waxed Weathered Copper is a copper block sealed at the weathered stage of oxidation. It keeps the same green patina as ordinary weathered copper, but it will not continue ageing into oxidized copper. That makes it useful when you want a build to keep a specific worn colour.
Key facts:
- Stops all further oxidation, even in rain or underwater.
- Can be cut into stairs, slabs, and other copper blocks with a stonecutter.
- Works as a plain decorative building block and has no redstone behaviour.
How to get Waxed Weathered Copper
You make Waxed Weathered Copper by waxing a Weathered Copper block. Combine the block with honeycomb in a crafting grid, or use honeycomb directly on the placed block. The honeycomb seals the surface and locks the block at its current weathered state. If you change your mind, scraping it with an axe removes the wax layer.
