About Waxed Exposed Copper
Waxed Exposed Copper is a copper block locked at the exposed stage of oxidation. It has a weathered brown look with early green patches, but it will not oxidise any further while the wax coating lasts. Builders often use it for roofs and industrial-style walls where they want a consistent weathered colour.
Key facts:
- This is the second of four copper oxidation stages.
- Waxing stops further oxidation into weathered or oxidised copper.
- You can remove the wax with an axe if you want it to age naturally again.
How to get Waxed Exposed Copper
You get it by waxing an Exposed Copper block. Either use a honeycomb on the placed block, or combine an Exposed Copper block with a honeycomb in a crafting grid. Let a normal copper block oxidise to the exposed stage first if you do not already have exposed copper. It is not found naturally in structures or chests.
