Produces 1× Waxed Lightning Rod.

- This is a shapeless recipe, meaning the items can be placed in any way on the grid.
- Waxed Lightning Rod can be crafted directly in your inventory or in a crafting table.
About the Waxed Lightning Rod
The Waxed Lightning Rod is the weatherproof version of the Lightning Rod. It still catches and redirects lightning during thunderstorms, which can protect nearby wooden builds from fire, but it will not slowly turn green over time.
Key facts:
- Pulls nearby lightning strikes to itself.
- Sends out a redstone pulse when struck, useful for sensors or traps.
- Waxing locks its current look so it never oxidises.
- Can be placed on the top, side, or bottom of blocks.
Lightning rods are also a neat way to make a storm part of your redstone setup, since each strike creates a signal.
How to get the Waxed Lightning Rod
You make this by using a honeycomb on a regular Lightning Rod. The normal Lightning Rod is crafted from three copper ingots placed in a vertical line, so you need both copper and honeycomb to end up with the waxed version. It is not found naturally in chests and cannot be bought from villagers.
